I want to give a quick back story. Last year when my daughter found out she was pregnant, we were kicked out of where we were living after telling the landlord. He had been noticing that she hadn't been to work in a couple of weeks because she had horrible morning sickness and she's a baker and just couldn't take it. So, when he finally asked, we had to tell him. So, I sold my old car to get into an apartment. I had a good job and we were doing just fine. In December, I was part of a mass layoff at my company, that was a huge shock to everyone. I work at home and it takes a little while to find a remote position. So, while looking for another remote job, I drove for Uber to make ends meet.

My grandson was born on March 1. By May, I had nothing left. Thank goodness the manager of these apartments is cool. I told him our situation and since there had never been any problems before he worked with us. He gave us till the day before he needed to send in all the rent payments to management. That day came and I didn't have it so I called the management company and talked to our manager's boss and I let him know that I was starting a new job on June 1 and that I'd be able to pay both May and June's rent by the end of June. My daughter has been looking for a job with no luck because she needed a job in the evening or overnight. This job wasn't paying enough to take care of our current bills much less back rent.

On June 10, I get a call from the manager asking if we were going to pay the rent. I told him that is not what was agreed upon. That didn't matter to him. He was mad at me for going above his head because he got in trouble. But he couldn't help with what I needed. A day or two after that, I looked at the resident payment app to see how much I owed, and there was so much more! I scrolled down to the bottom and there was a charge for attorney fees. So, I knew they were evicting us. At that time, I told me daughter that we wouldn't worry about rent, because it had gotten so bad here and you can't walk anywhere in the apartments without walking through a cloud of smoke from people smoking drugs. New people have moved in and we don't feel safe, especially if we have to walk to the car at night.

June 19 we were served eviction papers. Because we were not given a notice to vacate/pay rent, I called the courts and asked about it. Once she told us what could happen because of not getting one, she also told us that they filed on June 5. So, why even call and ask for rent if you've already filed eviction?

So, after we found out that we were getting evicted, we started looking for a place to move. We fell in love with a house that is cheaper than what we pay at these old apartments, and it's rent to own. I gave them $500 to hold it and not to show it to anyone else. All together it's $2200 to move in, minus the $500. I'll have another $400 to put on it. A friend had told me that they would loan me not only the rest, but what it would cost for a moving truck ($300) and getting electric, water, and internet turned on at the house. We were planning on moving this weekend (27/28) or by the 1st. Today, 6/24, I was told that they couldn't help. Now, I'm having anxiety attacks, freaking out, cause I have no other way of getting that kind of money but to ask on platforms such as this.

I have never been in this situation, and if it wasn't for my 4 month old grandson, it wouldn't be too horrible because my daughter and I can go anywhere. But with him, we can't just go anywhere. I don't know what to do! I have no one else to ask, I've tried. I know that God has blessed me and my family all our lives. I prayed about this house because it is our perfect place! And I know that I was approved because that is where we're suppose to be! If we don't get the help, we will be homeless. We have nowhere to go and no one to help.

I don't know what else to say. I am in a horrible state and it's got me bad off. I don't know what else to do. Please help us!
