Called to Serve: Jamaica Missions Trip

This upcoming trip to Jamaica is not a vacation—it’s a calling.

For the first time, I’ll be stepping out on a missions journey solo, joining a team of 20 adults committed to serving where comfort is limited and the need is great. For one full week, we will give our time, strength, and hearts to share the love of Jesus with children across Jamaica.

This mission is physically, emotionally, and spiritually demanding. We will travel long distances across the country. Days will be long. The work will be stretching.

💛 Our Mission Focus

This is a children’s ministry–centered mission, rooted in sharing the hope, love, and truth of the Gospel with kids who need it most.

During the week, our team will:

• Serve at City of Refuge, an Assemblies of God orphanage high in the Blue Mountains (5,500 ft). We’ll spend three days loving on children through VBS, renovating a cafeteria, and supporting the local leadership as they revitalize this vital ministry.
• Partner with a local church to host VBS, participate in door-to-door outreach, and support Sunday services.
• Minister in a high-risk, impoverished community alongside a newly planted church—an area many avoid. Here, we’ll do street outreach, street-side VBS, and lead a worship service, meeting people exactly where they are.

This is not easy work—but it is holy work.
