Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my mom, who recently suffered multiple serious injuries at home that have completely turned our lives upside down. At 69 years old, this has been especially difficult and life-changing, as she now faces a level of dependence she’s never had before.

My mom is my best friend and one of the strongest, yet most selfless people I know. She’s always been the person others can count on—she always shows up, especially when it matters most. She consistently puts other people’s needs before her own.

Recently, she experienced a sudden accident in our home that resulted in significant injuries. Since then, everyday tasks that most of us take for granted have become incredibly difficult. She has always valued her independence, which makes this situation even more challenging for her.

By God’s grace, she is still with us. The right side of her body was severely impacted, resulting in a brain bleed, a shoulder replacement, elbow repair, a wrist fracture, and a reconstructed ankle. She is currently unable to bear weight on either limb for 6–8 weeks.

She is now facing a long and difficult road to recovery that includes ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and major adjustments to her daily life.

As her daughter, I am doing everything I can to support her. We live together, and I have always helped care for her and manage her health needs. However, because I work full-time, and am now temporarily out of work due to my own unexpected, emergency surgery - I’m not able to be the level of caregiver she now requires during this critical stage of recovery. We BOTH are healing and recovering 🙏.

The financial burden is quickly approaching, and between medical bills, necessary home accommodations, and additional care support, we are asking for help during this incredibly challenging time.
