Hi, My name is Branden
I work as a handyman on Salt Spring Island. Most of the work I do is paid in cash. I enjoy helping bring projects to life through the island.
Recently I had a roof collapse over my back while I was Hunched over working. Luckily there was someone nearby who heard the collapse and was able to come free me within several minutes.
Although the situation could have been much worse I feel grateful that I got out with just a crushed Vertibre and a cracked rib.
The doctor determined with close monitoring that I would recover without the need for surgery or a brace by staying off it and staying in bed.
I've realized now that I've been resting and looked over my budget that I will not have enough to cover my way.
Between recurring expenses, monthly charity donations, and this new balance on my credit card, funds will be exhausted.
I wish to buy Christmas gifts for my family and have a basic amount for groceries and things to manage the injury.
I am blessed to have people around me who have been able to help me with making food, grocery runs, and tasks around the house.
I have gone for Another set of x-rays and to me It looks like I am improving! I'll have to wait for them to be processed and sent to my doctor before I can get any further information from them.
The doctor finally got around to receiving the new x rays. He says that I am healing well and quickly. There is a good chance that if I am careful that I will heal fully without this affecting me down the road!
