Last Call - A Summer of Joy & Jesus' Love

Hi everyone,

Thank you again for your generosity and support. I wanted to share a brief update and a few prayer requests from the non-mission portion of my trip.

Before beginning the mission part of my travels, I came to Italy to visit a friend. However, as I was flying here, she was unexpectedly flying back to the United States. Her father had broken his leg, and during surgery the doctors discovered he has cancer.

Instead of the sightseeing we had planned, I felt the Lord leading me to simply be present with her and spend time praying together for her family. Over the course of those two weeks, we prayed often for wisdom, peace, and God’s presence in the midst of these unexpected circumstances.

Please pray specifically for her father—that he would have forgiveness in his heart toward extended family members. Also pray for wisdom, unity, and discernment for the family as they adjust to his diagnosis and make decisions about his medical care.

I am now in Florence visiting my 85-year-old aunt. The rest of my family is currently out of town, so I would appreciate prayer that I would use this time well and be an encouragement to her.

Although this wasn’t the visit I expected, God still opened doors. My friend and I had many opportunities to share our testimonies with others. Please pray that the seeds planted would continue to grow, and especially pray for M and his wife, E., that their hearts would be open to the Lord and that He would continue drawing them to Himself.

Thank you so much for your prayers, encouragement, and faithful support. I am grateful to have you partnering with me on this journey.
