Brasen is a walking miracle deserving of an act of kindness. Through multiple battles against kidney failure (two transplants with one functioning momentarily) and having two clubbed feet, Brasen still walks through life with a hope of achieving greatness. He takes good care of himself to stay in shape going to CrossFit regularly and practicing hockey with the Paralympic team in CO. Alongside hockey, Brasen recently discovered a love for monoskiing (the use of a chair suspended above a long ski allowing those with physical disabilities to ski). He would love to make this sport a regular activity as it brings him much joy. Given his quick progression in lessons, he even has dreams to potentially enter into the Paralympic Games through monoskiing instead of hockey. He is a young man with a big heart and big dreams despite all he has faced and continues to face in his life. Currently the cost of a monoski is stopping him from pursuing this though. Our goal is to raise $7000 to get Brasen the highest end equipment possible, bringing him joy and giving him the chance to pursue his dream! Will you help us?

I am Eric Shoemaker. Brasen is a friend and a musician at our church. These funds will be used to support his disabled athletics aspirations, including as a hockey goalie for the US Special Olympics team, specifically for equipment needs. I will manage these funds and distribute them to Brasen for his equipment and other athletic needs.
