We are reaching out on behalf of Jovanna and Philip Bracket-Oetinger, a devoted couple facing the fight of their lives. Since December 13, 2024, they’ve been traveling over 500 miles—one way—every two weeks to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, in hopes of healing Philip’s aggressive cancer. The physical, emotional, and financial toll has been overwhelming.

Here’s a glimpse into their journey:

• 15 round trips to Mayo Clinic over 7 months
• Over $11,250 spent on lodging, gas, meals, and unexpected car repairs
• A full month spent in Rochester in March due to complications from treatment
• Loss of income as Philip could no longer work due to chemotherapy side effects
• Limited earnings as Jovanna drove a school bus when she could, making just $2,000 over 6 months
• Currently without support as they fight to have SSI benefits reinstated due to clerical errors—despite having an attorney involved

They’ve exhausted their resources. The travel, lodging, and basic needs have left them financially depleted. Now, they are trying to seek treatment closer to home, but the road ahead is still uncertain—and they need help.
