My wife, Bonnie, has been dealing with various ailments over the last 4-5 years. She has dealt with autoimmune issues, which required her to completely change her diet and she's been vigilant about what she puts into her body. In December of 2020, she sustained a concussion when she accidentally banged her head on the corner of a shelf. Such a non-event turned into a huge event days later when she could no longer look at a monitor and severe headaches set in. We thought she would overcome that in a few days, but it's been nearly two years and many thousands of dollars spent trying to help her through various therapies.
While dealing with all of these issues, a lump formed on her breast. Three weeks ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully, it isn't super aggressive at this point, but she needs treatment. The standard treatment is surgery, chemo, radiation and meds for 10 years. We don't believe that's how God intended the body to heal, so we are sending her to an alternative treatment center outside of the US that focuses on whole body health with nutrition and therapies intended to heal, not kill. The protocols they utilize will also address her other health issues, which is very exciting. But this is expensive, and we need help.
There has been much prayer and consideration to this next step. Our family - we have a 14-year-old daughter, and 12-year-old son - is very comfortable with the decision to go to this clinic. It's a 3-week stay, at which point she will come home and continue doing things she learned there for the next two years. The road will be long, but we have complete faith the Lord will bless the journey and Bonnie will have an amazing story to share with others who are in similar situations. He created our bodies to heal. He created natural foods. He created it all! We want to honor Him in every aspect of our lives, even when we are frightened or intimidated at situations. We continue to trust in the healing He created, and we are following Him with our whole hearts.
Joshua 1:9 - I will be strong and courageous. I will not be terrified; I will not be discouraged. For you, my Lord, are with me wherever I go.
