Habit of Hope Challenge: Week 2 (Hope in Motion — Small Acts with Big Ripples)

Posted by Alex Shipley on Jul 8, 2025

Week 1 is in the books—and what a powerful start! If you participated in even one mini hope mission, you were part of something meaningful. Smiles were shared. Prayers were whispered. Kind words were spoken. Hope started stirring—and we’re just getting going.

As we move into Week 2, we’re putting hope in motion. That means stepping beyond ourselves, noticing others, and being a spark of kindness and encouragement in everyday places. These missions are still simple and doable—but they ripple further than you might expect.

Still not officially in the challenge? You’ve got time!

Here’s what’s coming this week!

This Week’s Mini Hope Missions:

Small acts. Big ripples.

Day 8 – July 8
Send a Surprise Encouragement

Think of someone who’s been a little quiet lately. Send them a voice memo, email, or text just to let them know they’re seen.
"You crossed my mind" goes a long way.

Day 9 – July 9
Leave a Note in the Wild

Write a short, kind message and leave it somewhere random—on a park bench, library shelf, mirror, or table.
Kindness gets creative today.

Day 10 – July 10
Notice Someone’s Effort

Tell someone (your barista, a parent, coworker, or volunteer) that you see what they do—and it matters.
Appreciation can change someone’s whole day.

Day 11 – July 11
Lift Someone Online

Drop a thoughtful comment or encouragement on someone’s post. Let your scroll today be full of support.
Tag us @GiveSendGo and use #60DaysOfHope—we’d love to see it!

Day 12 – July 12
Let Someone Go First

At the store, in traffic, or in conversation—pause and give someone else the lead.
Sometimes stepping back is the most generous move.

Day 13 – July 13
Give Something Away

Pass on a book, tool, jacket, or anything you’re not using that could bless someone else.
Share the story behind what you gave!

Day 14 – July 14
Pray for a Stranger’s GiveSendGo Campaign

Head to GiveSendGo.com, find a campaign that touches your heart, and click “Pray.”
Write your prayer on the Prayer Wall if you feel led.

Here’s How YOU Shared Hope This Past Week!

Your stories from Week 1 have been pouring in—and we’re loving every single one! Here are just a few of the powerful, hope-filled moments you’ve shared so far:

Heather on Day 1 (Smile at Someone):
“Easy one! Who else did it?!”

Chris on Day 2 (Text Someone “You Crossed My Mind”):
“I love doing things like this—random acts of kindness and reaching out to others.”

Teresa also on Day 2:
“Wow!! I love this idea. It’s so encouraging!!”

Janice on Day 3 (Pray for One + Post to the Prayer Wall):
“I did both!!! Praise and a request. Thank you for doing this!!!”

Donna on Day 3:
“Praying for the flood... praying for you all.”

Andria on Day 4 (Gratitude):
“I’m grateful my sister comes down to Texas every summer to help me out, especially since my husband passed. Yardwork and everything else gets overwhelming when it’s just me. Today, I’m thankful for my sister!!”

Eileen also on Day 4:
“Our freedom! It wasn’t free, but it’s so cherished!”

Kae on Day 5 (Hold the Door):
“It’s been a joke that we Michiganders will spot someone across the parking lot and wait to hold the door. Such a simple way to show honor to others!”
