How Ordinary People Are Building Extraordinary Legacies of Generosity

What Will Your Legacy Be?

When your story is told one day, what will people say?

Will they talk about your career? The places you traveled? The things you owned?

Or will they remember the way your life touched theirs and others’—your generosity, your compassion, your faith in action?

Because the truth is, every single day you’re writing your legacy. And for members of the Giver Army, that legacy is about showing up—being the crowd for the crowdless—through consistent, intentional, faithful generosity that changes lives.

From Being Blessed to Being a Blessing

It’s easy to focus on what we want to receive in life: comfort, stability, answered prayers, success. But what if the deeper question isn’t, “How much can I be blessed?”—but instead, “How much can I be a blessing?”

That’s the question the Giver Army answers month after month. Through their monthly generosity, they’re showing up in stories of loss, tragedy, and heartbreak—and turning them into stories of redemption, provision, and hope.

Real Stories. Real People. Real Impact.

These aren’t statistics. They’re families. Mothers. Fathers. Children. Neighbors. People just like you—who suddenly found themselves in need of a miracle.

The Guidi Family

When the Eaton Fire swept through their California neighborhood, the Guidis lost their home and everything in it.

A $10,000 Care & Relief Grant helped them secure housing, replace essentials, and begin rebuilding.

“We are very moved and absolutely blessed to receive a donation from the Wildfire Relief fund. This means so much to us… We are so thankful to you and to God for providing the light during a very dark time.” — Jaime

Heather

A single mom of three boys, Heather had just moved into a new home but couldn’t afford renovations while still covering groceries and bills.

A $3,000 Giver Army Grant allowed her to purchase much of what her family needed to thrive.

“This grant allowed me to provide what my boys needed to feel safe and at home. I can’t thank you enough for stepping in when I didn’t know what else to do.” — Heather

Lisa Blackburn

At 69, Lisa, a retired librarian and cherished member of the Altadena community, lost her home and all of her possessions in a wildfire.

A $10,000 Care & Relief Grant gave her stability and the resources to start rebuilding her life.

“At 69, my sister Lisa had everything she’d ever produced, collected or cherished… be reduced to ashes… This $10,000 Care & Relief Grant… has shocked and humbled us both... You have seen Lisa and found her worthy of this love… Lisa is suddenly the wealthiest person I know.” — Joy Blackburn, Lisa’s sister

Marc & Marylin

After retiring, Marc and Marylin lost their Altadena home—a place filled with family memories—to devastating wildfires.

A $10,000 Care & Relief Grant gave them temporary housing and the support to begin rebuilding.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for your generous gift to us. Losing our home that brought us so much family joy is something we didn’t expect after recently retiring. We are humbled by the outpouring of love that has been given to us. May God continue to bless you and everyone that has supported us during this difficult time.” — Marc and Marylin

Chimney Rock Village

On September 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene caused catastrophic damage to to Chimney Rock Village, destroying many homes and businesses.

A $5,000 Care & Relief Grant directly supported the community’s rebuilding initiatives.

“On behalf of Chimney Rock Village, thank you for supporting our disaster relief fund... Although the recovery will be long and extensive, the Village is making significant progress with plans to rebuild. The Disaster Relief Fund is being used to directly provide grants to residents and business owners for essential needs.”

Dr. Sarah M.

A beloved Malibu doctor, Sarah lost both her home and her practice in the LA wildfires.

A $10,000 Giver Army Grant gave her the stability to start over—housing, her practice, and her life.

“Your support has meant more than I can put into words fully!!! — not only in helping me navigate the challenges of rebuilding after such an unexpected disaster, but also in reminding me that even in the hardest moments, kindness and generosity shine through—it has reaffirmed my faith in the goodness of people and the power of community.” — Sarah

These are the kinds of stories your generosity writes into existence.

“Be the Crowd for the Crowdless”

Barbara, a Giver Army member, puts it this way:

“God has blessed me richly with so many things, and when I see the projects on GiveSendGo, it just compels me to support people who are doing things for the Kingdom that I can't do myself... Be aware of how much you are blessed and bless others.”

That’s the heartbeat of the Giver Army.
Ordinary people stepping into extraordinary opportunities. People being the crowd for the crowdless.

How Do I Join the Giver Army?

By giving as little as $5/month to a GiveSendGo Charities cause, you’ll step into stories like these—where hope felt lost and your thoughtful generosity will say, “You’re not alone.

And one day, when your story is told, people will remember not just what you had, but what you gave. The lives you touched. The hope you shared time and time again.
