UPDATE: Hi friends, we sent out an email recently with an update on Rommy, but we wanted to post it here for anyone who didn't see it. 

Rommy's latest lab work was all clear, and immunology no longer needs to follow up with him. Praise the Lord! 🙌

His final appointment, Lord willing, is with neurology at the end of May. If all goes well, we can officially put this season behind us.

On Saturday, December 6th, Jordan's world turned upside down when her oldest son (he turns 14 this month) suddenly became unresponsive.

The family had been fighting a stubborn upper respiratory virus, but his condition took a terrifying turn. Doctors quickly diagnosed bacterial meningitis—a rapid and life-threatening infection that inflames the protective membranes around the brain and spinal cord, often leading to severe complications like brain damage, hearing loss, or worse, even with swift treatment.

He was rushed to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital for intensive care. Those first few days were heart-wrenching, filled with fear and fervent prayer. But thanks to the mighty hand of God and the prayers of so many, a true miracle unfolded: he began the slow but steady road to recovery.

Today, he's home resting, continuing to heal, and surrounded by his grateful family. Praise the Lord for His incredible mercy and healing power!

While insurance covers much of his care, the timing couldn't be tougher—approaching the end of the year means the deductible will reset in January, and 2026 is already booked with follow-up medical appointments. This likely means paying the full deductible twice, plus travel costs to specialists, and any out-of-pocket natural treatments to support his full recovery.
