Black courage, standing with the lone juror

One man stood alone. Now we want him to know he doesn't have to stand alone anymore.

The Lindsay Clancy case brought unimaginable tragedy and difficult questions about justice, mental health, accountability, and compassion. While people may disagree about the case and its outcome, one juror reportedly reached a different conclusion and had the courage to stand by his convictions.

He listened. He considered the evidence. And when his conclusion differed from the majority, he did not simply abandon what he believed.

This juror is a Black man, making his story especially meaningful to those who value the principles of equality, dignity, representation, and having every voice heard. Inspired by the broader ideals associated with Black Lives Matter, this fundraiser is about recognizing the importance of a Black voice that was willing to stand firm, even when standing alone.
