This summer I have been selected to be a part of the Kenchreai archeological team, working under Dr. Rife from Vanderbilt as a part of his field school. We will be doing maritime excavation looking for the temple of Isis near the old church of Mary in Kenchreai (The Roman port outside of Corinth). 

All this is such an unexpected answer to prayer and opens the door to two incredible opportunities. First, it will set me up to continue my education past DBU. I want to pursue a graduate degree in ancient history in order to become a History teacher and expand the ministry of light and love that God has blessed me with. 

Not only that, it will be one of the most unexpected gospel opportunities. The majority of the students in this field school are from Vanderbilt or the University of Pennsylvania, which are both very atheistic universities. Through the five weeks of field school, I will have endless opportunities to witness to the faith that has transformed my life. How cool is it that I have that chance here, outside of Corinth, the very city where Paul lived for almost two years? I get to walk in his footsteps in ways I never expected.
