OUR HOUSE OF HOPE JOURNEY

HOW WE STARTED...

A little over 2.5 years ago God called us to leave everything behind & GO serve Him as missionaries in Colombia! Sounds crazy right? Yes... because it totally is!! Truth is, we were scared out of our minds, every why, what, when, and where crossed our thoughts. 

We knew that saying YES & GOING... meant taking our kids out of their schools, selling our home, getting rid of all of our things, leaving our friends, family, and even our church. But we chose faith over fear & we obeyed the calling that God had placed on our lives to reach the lost and make Jesus famous in South America, Colombia! 

Truth is, it has been an incredibly difffcult transition for our entire family since the day we landed in Colombia on January 23, 2021. BUT... Our GOD has been so faithful to us. He has opened up doors that we could have never imagined. And, in just a few short weeks of us being here, God provided us with a place to live, strangers that are now friends to help us serve, and has given us the tremendous opportunity to minister to familes in one of the most vulnerable communities in Medellin, Colombia. But...that was only the beginning!!

HOW'S IT GOING...

After just 8 months of arriving to Medellin, we opened up a faith based children's and youth foundation called House of Hope (Casa De Esperanza). Our foundation is a home used as a refuge, a place filled with the LOVE & the HOPE OF JESUS. Where kids & teens learn to DREAM BIG & KNOW THAT ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH CHRIST! Most of these children and teens have no food, are living in implore-able conditions, many have never had access to education and internet, or any resources that can help them succeed in life. It's absolutely heart breaking. However, we know that with JESUS there is ALWAYS HOPE!!  

Through classes such as barbering, boxing, arts & crafts, english, computer, library, and much more, we are not only changing each child's life by giving them an opportunity they otherwise would not have, we are helping bring change to the hearts of hundreds of children, a community, and generations to follow. 

Our goal is to CHANGE THE WORLD one child & teen at a time! Our heart and passion is to bring the HOPE & LOVE of JESUS to children of all ages. Serving in neighborhoods where people are too afraid to enter, some forgottten by their own government, many without any life skills or education, others without basic necessities like food or running water, and way too many who are orphaned.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED...

The Lord has given us incredible partners and amazing support from so many which has allowed us to SHARE HOPE in the very vulnerable community of Comuna 13 filled with gangs, violence, and poverty, but with AMAZING people desperately searching for HOPE! Our mission at House of Hope is to LOVE, SHARE HOPE, EMPOWER & INSPIRE! But the needs exceed our capabilities!!  THIS IS WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP!
