Hello Church family,

My name is Jerry Alvarado, a 51-year-old husband, father of two, and Human Resources professional. Fifteen years ago, God radically shifted my life. He confronted me with the reality of His Kingdom, awakening me to a deeper walk of faith.

Since then, my family and I have walked through a long season of testing—deserts, breaking, and surrendering. God has been teaching us to live by faith, letting go of control, and depending fully on Him.

For the past six months, both my wife and I have been without work. Despite our efforts, every door has remained closed. In prayer, I’ve sensed this isn’t just a trial—it’s a divine redirection. God is calling us into something new.

Though our savings are nearly gone, our resolve to obey God is stronger than ever.

A few years ago, the Lord placed a vision in my heart: a foundation called Be the Church. Its mission is to awaken the Body of Christ to the reality of the Kingdom and the fullness of life in the Spirit.

This calling has already begun to take shape in faith and obedience:

God is leading us to formally establish Be the Church as a foundation rooted in the model of the early church—fully dependent on Him, Spirit-led, and radically obedient.

All this is what we feel is next for us, yet we are on the brink of a financial precipice. We are almost at zero in our savings, and despite our constant prayers for work, it seems God Himself has shut that door as an avenue of self-dependence. We currently dont own a home, and the one we rent is where God brought us to this very year. I have prayed like any father, Lord, if there is anything we can do, go to a smaller apartment or do something to provide, guide me!, Yet the only words I hear are, Trust me.

I have to trust God beyond logic and human reasoning. I know it sounds crazy, but He is God, He is in control, and He is testing our faith and resolve. I will trust him to the end. That is my conviction.

We humbly ask for your support during this critical time—not just to meet our immediate needs, but to help launch a ministry that will bless many others.

We are simply placing our “five loaves and two fish” before the Lord, trusting Him to multiply.

This attempt feels like when Jesus asked Peter to throw the net once more. I don`t know if he will bring the fish here or what, but I trust that if this is his will, he will prompt those he calls to help.

Our lives are fully surrendered to His call. We believe the time is short, and we are ready to serve with all we are and have.
