on June 1st 2026, we experienced the happiest moment of our lives.

After months of anticipation, dreams, and preparation, we welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world. Holding her for the first time was everything we had hoped for. We imagined bringing her home, spending sleepless nights together, learning how to be parents, and making memories as a family of three.

Instead, our world was turned upside down.

Shortly after giving birth via C-section, my wife began experiencing serious postpartum complications that required her to be hospitalized. What should have been the most joyful and precious days of our lives have instead been filled with fear, uncertainty, doctor visits, tests, procedures, and long nights wondering when she would finally be able to come home.

Watching the woman I love fight through this has been heartbreaking. She had hoped to be recovering at home, holding our daughter and soaking in these first precious days of motherhood. Instead, she spent countless hours in a hospital bed while our family tried to navigate a situation we never saw coming.

The emotional toll has been overwhelming. As first-time parents, these are moments we can never get back. The first days of our daughter Sofia’s life should have been spent together as a family. Instead, they were overshadowed by medical complications, uncertainty, and time apart that no new family ever expects to face.

On top of the emotional strain, my wife exhausted her available paid time off and was unable to work. While our focus has remained entirely on her recovery, the reality is that lost income, medical expenses, follow-up care, travel, parking, and the many unexpected costs that came with a prolonged hospitalization continue to weigh heavily on our family.

Many people who have followed our journey have reached out asking how they can help. After much consideration, we decided to create this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial burden so we can focus on what matters most: helping my wife heal, caring for our newborn daughter, and getting our family back together under one roof.

We are incredibly grateful to share that Alexa is now able to urinate on her own..a milestone we had prayed so hard for. While this is amazing news, her recovery is still ongoing and our family has been through a lot.
