Hi everyone, I'm Jessica, a friend of both Chris and Lorin.

Chris and Lorin are wonderful people who would give the shirts off their backs for anyone in need. They are loyal, wonderful friends who do not want to ever have to ask for help and are used to always working so hard for what they have. I know they would be wonderful parents, something they so desperately want together.

Today, I want to share a deeply personal story about love and hope—It started ten years ago when Lorin and Chris embarked on their path to parenthood with big hearts full of dreams for the future.

The reality? They've faced repeated disappointments—from fertility struggles that no one should have to experience, let alone silently bear through alone to multiple rounds of IUI. Each month they have hoped and then grieved the missed opportunity for their miracle baby. It was emotionally exhausting, but somehow, with unwavering love and support from each other and with the grace of God, they've kept trying.

And now? They're facing yet another hurdle—with Lorin's advancing age they are feeling like there's a ticking clock on their fertility journey. The decision to move ahead with IVF feels like an impossible choice between hope or despair. It’s a choice that could bring them closer to their dream of being parents, but it also means investing in the unknown future and potentially depleting their remaining funds.

😓 The cost is daunting: $36,000 alone for IVF treatment at Shady Grove. And that’s just the beginning... We're talking about thousands more on medications and lab work, all paid out of pocket because health insurance doesn’t cover infertility treatments in full. It feels like climbing an insurmountable mountain without ropes or a path.
