Executive Summary

Vanguard is a Close Protection unit dedicated to safeguarding the most vulnerable members of society from organised crime. Our mission is to protect and empower women, girls, and individuals targeted by the devastating impacts of county lines, drug culture, grooming gangs, and domestic violence.

We are not focused on executive, celebrity or VIP protection. Vanguard exists to provide affordable, intelligence-based protection and fill a critical gap in the UK where government-funded protective services are lacking and where victims and their families are, for whatever reason, unable to get witness protection, let alone afford private security during legal proceedings or relocation programmes.

Our strongest attribute is social intelligence, the backbone of crisis management, extraction, reconnaissance, and covert operation. Vanguard offers professional expertise and compassionate service when conducting interviews with potential for sensitive content. Our outreach programmes and partnerships with local authorities and landlords ensure that vulnerable individuals receive the protection they need without financial burden. With enough backing we can offer this service free of charge for entire families.

Vanguard seeks £25,000 in initial funding primarily for training men and women who want to work for us, as well as the equipment, in order to establish a robust operational foundation. This investment will enable us to vet, train and hire more bodyguards and protection dogs, and to scale our impact nationwide and internationally.
