The Crisis Nobody Is Naming
Something is happening to men in America, and most people are not willing to say it plainly.
Men account for nearly 80% of all suicide deaths in the United States. This is more than a mental health statistic. It is a spiritual crisis.
Nearly 19 million children are growing up without their father in the home. The United States leads the world in single-parent households, and the majority are fatherless.
Today, 15% of men report having zero close friends, five times the number who said the same thing in 1990.
The effects reach far beyond men themselves.
Children growing up without an engaged father are dramatically more likely to experience poverty, behavioral disorders, institutionalization, and suicide. When men remain wounded, families suffer. When families suffer, generations pay the price.
We are not lacking information.
We are lacking formed men.
What Formation Actually Means
Most men have been told what they should become.
Very few have ever been shown how.
There is often a painful gap between who a man is and who God created him to be. Many carry that gap silently for decades, trying to outrun it through success, achievement, distractions, addictions, or simply learning to live numb.
Valor Forge exists for that man.
Not merely to motivate him.
To help form him.
What We Are Building
Valor Forge is a Christian men's identity and formation ministry built on one conviction.
God does not waste pain. He uses it to forge men.
Our flagship 8-week formation journey leads men through:
- Honest self-examination
- Ownership and repentance
- The Cross and surrender
- Receiving identity in Christ
- Stewardship of body, mind, and spirit
- Biblical household leadership
- Purpose, mission, and commission
The experience includes:
- Daily formation guides
- Physical discipline and challenges
- Weekly coaching
- Brotherhood accountability
- A private community of men pursuing Christ together
Every cohort concludes with each man writing his testimony, declaring a vision for his household, and being prayed over and commissioned.
The goal is not simply finishing a program.
The goal is sending transformed men back into their families, churches, workplaces, and communities.
The Thorn
At the center of this ministry is a book called The Thorn.
It explores:
- The Fall and the false self
- The enemy's strategy
- The Cross
- Identity received in Christ
- Living from freedom instead of striving
- Commission into purpose
The book serves both as a standalone resource and as the theological foundation of the entire Valor Forge curriculum.
For many men, The Thorn will be the first step toward healing.
The Bigger Vision
The 8-week program is only the beginning.
God has placed a much larger vision on our hearts.
Live Three-Day Intensives
Residential formation experiences that combine biblical teaching, physical challenge, brotherhood, surrender, testimony, and commissioning.
Regional Brotherhood Gatherings
One-day events in communities across the country where men gather around God's Word, honest conversation, and a pathway into deeper formation.
The Annual Valor Forge Conference
A national gathering where alumni share their testimonies, new men begin their journey, and the Church witnesses what genuine transformation looks like.
Wilderness Retreats
Immersive experiences built around hardship, silence, physical endurance, prayer, and brotherhood. Formation involves the whole person, not just the mind.
Coaching Multiplication
Our long-term vision is to equip and certify other Christian men to lead Valor Forge cohorts in their own churches, cities, and communities.
The mission is not to build one influential leader.
The mission is to raise up thousands.
What Your Gift Makes Possible
Our initial fundraising goal is $10,000.
Your generosity will help launch the first phase of this mission by funding:
- The first Valor Forge cohorts
- Completion and publication of The Thorn
- Development of the Valor Forge Brotherhood community platform
- Outreach and content to reach men where they are
- Program infrastructure and scholarships for men who cannot afford to participate
Every dollar beyond our initial goal will be reinvested into expanding the mission and making formation available to more men across the country.
How You Can Partner
Give
You are not simply funding a program.
You are investing in fathers, husbands, sons, and future generations.
Share
If you know a man carrying silent burdens, successful on the outside but empty on the inside, share this campaign with him.
He may be closer to hope than he realizes.
Pray
Pray that every thorn becomes an invitation to the Cross.
Pray that wounded men become restored husbands, fathers, leaders, and disciples of Jesus Christ.
A Note From the Founder
I didn't build this ministry from theory.
I built it from the inside of the struggle it was created to address.
I know what it feels like to carry the gap between the man everyone sees and the man you know you were created to become.
I know what it is to chase the wrong things in an attempt to quiet the noise.
I know what it is to build a life from wounds that were never named.
But I also know what it is to encounter the grace of God.
On February 25, 2024, I stood in the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean while my brother and a close friend prayed over me.
I came out of that water a different man.
Not perfect.
Not finished.
But forged.
That moment became the beginning of a new life and, eventually, the beginning of Valor Forge.
My prayer is simple.
That the man who desperately needs this ministry finds it.
And that what God does in him echoes through his marriage, his children, his grandchildren, and generations yet to come.
Thank you for believing in this mission.
