Help Me Be by My Daughter’s Side During Chemotherapy

Hi, my name is Patty, and I’m raising funds so I can be with my daughter as she goes through an intense 12 month ongoing inpatient chemotherapy treatments for an aggressive cancer in Tampa, Florida.

She receives treatment every month, which requires hospital stays. During those times, she needs comfort, support, and someone right there with her—and she’s asked for her mom. That alone breaks my heart. I just want to be there to hold her, to comfort her, and to remind her she’s not facing this alone.

I’ve always been close by throughout her life—never more than minutes away. Now I’m 14 hours from her, and when she needs me most, I’m trying to find a way to be there for every treatment and every hard moment she faces.

A few years ago, my husband became ill and was unable to work for an extended time. Because of that, we relocated to Tennessee so we could manage on a single income.

Now, traveling back and forth from Tennessee to Tampa for each treatment—along with taking time off work—has become more than I can handle financially on my own.

Our goal is $7,000, which will help cover several months of:

1. Airfare for each treatment trip
2. Lodging and basic expenses while I’m there
3. Lost wages while I’m away from work

This is one of the hardest things our family has ever gone through. Being by her side during treatment means everything—to both of us.
