Particularly vulnerable groups include older people and people with disabilities who may be unable to flee from high-risk areas and are in need of medical care. Women and children, who make up a majority of people fleeing the crisis, are at risk of gender-based violence and sexual exploitation and abuse; they need medical treatment as well. (UNHCR)
The Order of St. George has just sent 23 pallets of medical supplies to help Ukrainian civilian refugees. The cost for air transport is high; those supplies cost $27,000 to ship by air. With your support we can help even more.
We have assembled a further 100 pallets of donated mixed medical supplies ready to be flown into Poland. There it will be dispersed into Ukrainian hospitals and clinics. Estimated shipping costs for those supplies run over $100,000. We need your help to get these medical supplies shipped to those who need it the most.
