My husband and I are reaching out to our social media network of support. This is not a simple thing asking for help. However, after much deliberation, thinking, consulting with each other on how to make our ends meet, and practicing our humility, we have decided to reach out and ask for help.

Our story is not much different from most of yours. Everyone goes through tough times. We live a truly happy life and together we are each others rock. We have been blessed, but life has gotten really rough these past few years. We have made financial sacrifices to help us from having to ask for help in the past, but the weight is now too much to handel moving forward.

Here's the scoop, the nitty-gritty, and brief (as possible) details of what's been going on. It may seem like a lot to read, but Brian and I ask that you please read further. We are asking for financial help, but we are also asking for our prayer warriors to come forward and keep us in your sunday prayers!

2 years ago, Brian's health started to decline. We found out he needed to have bi lateral hip replacements. He was on the job when his hip collapsed. Pushing through the pain, unsure of where it was coming from, I was on my way to bring him to the ER. We found out he had a rare case of Avascular necrosis, a disease that deteriorates your bones, causing them to break. So this was the first hip. He had it replaced and was back to work after the docotors cleared him. He continued with physical therapy, and no bad hip was going to stop him from doing what he loved, working. But, the disease didn't stop there it was already attacting his other hip and shortly after; Same story, except this time it involves a cold New Jersey winter and slick parking lots covered in black ice. No surprise here. The second hip was scheduled to be replaced after another scary trip to the ER. 6 months after the last, Brian now had bilateral hip replacements. We heard all these stories of people having their hips replaced and being able to walk better than ever. But for Brian, this was not the case. Something was wrong. Something caused him a lot of pain. Pain to the degree of unbearable. So we were back at it again. Surgery, doctors, physical therapy - not giving up. However, after the surgery, something wasn't right. Brian rehabilitated to the best of his ability. He went back to work because selling cars is what he loves. He pushed through every day of work, knowing that something felt terribly wrong. He was in level 10 pain, 6 out of the 7 days a week. With no answer insight. After 30+ different radiologist images, 2 years of medial testing, 2 years of pain management, 2 years of doctor appointments to see every specialist on Gods green earth to help diagnose what the problem is - We finally received an answer, a blessing and a curse. He was required to have both his hips that were already replaced, replaced again. The original surgeon did an improper procedure of only partially replacing the hips. The expert at Rothman Orthopedics within the first 30 seconds of the appointment, told us the implants were improperly placed. Where the implant sits, the ceramic has been rubbing against the bones for the past 2 years, causing him extreme distress, the inability to do anything in life that brings peace. No beach, no walking the parks with our fur babies, no sports. Barely finding enough comfort to sit in his comfy recliner and enjoy a baseball game on TV. Admist all the testing and ongoing pain, doctors were also able to be proactive about his declining health. More diagnoses were discovered - spinal stenosis, osteoporosis and monitoring of his heart and lungs. Osteoporosis being the next attack without any notice of when or where. His hip re-replacement of his left side was to be scheduled on the 15th of August. It was a gut punch to know he would have to go through the process of healing all over again, but he was ready to go, with hopes that he could get his quality of life back. This is the breaker (pun sort of intended) - last week Brian stepped down off the sidewalk. Due to the weakness and detoriation of his bones, he broke his tibula and fibula. A really messy break, needing a titanium rod to now support his leg. The ambulance rushed him to Cooper Trauma, where he is recovering. This will be a long feat for him, but he won't quit. He will attend a sub Acute Rehabilitation facility as soon as the doctors give him the approval where he can work on Occupational and Orthopedic physical therapy. He will heal. Then he will have his 2 hip replacements and do the healing process all over again. This will be a road of continued physical therapy, doctors, and continuing to monitor his health. It's going to be a long, hard, exhausting process, but of all things, the worst is the financial insecurity this is putting on our family. His story is painful, and we are grateful that a doctor was finally able to give us a possible solution to end this. I am not one to look for sympathy or pity but was blessed with my own struggles at birth, diabetes. All very personal problems that I dont necessarily mind airing out to our followers, friends, and family. Struggling with my own complications of partial toe amputations, the most recent amputation just being this past July has slowed down my own ability to work long hours. I battle with degenerative issues with my eyesight, and the diabetes over the past 3 years has begun to affect my organs and disgestion. I am going through the long and daunting process of hoping the judge grants me disability. However, it has been nothing close to more than a wish and a prayer.

Like I said before when I started this whole long story, we are happy; And we will continue to support each other and stand by each other while we take the steps necessary to secure our lifes essentials. We ask for all prayers, big and small, that our family heals quickly. My biggest wish for Brian is that he no longer has to suffer and fight through this pain. We thank our doctors and family who have never stopped their continued support. We are reaching out to our community now with hopes that yall can help us financially to bridge the gap these hospital stays have strained on our finances.
