Funding 'She Handled It! Adversity' Book

I'm raising funds to launch my third book in the She Handled It!® series—a timely and inspiring work titled She Handled It!® Adversity: Stories of Courage, Faith, and the Power of One Moment. This book highlights women/girls who've faced major backlash for speaking out publicly for the protection of women's sports and spaces, and most importantly, how the difficulty made them stronger!

(SIDENOTE): I had a campaign on Kickstarter that was funding on April 3, and 11 days before they canceled it due to my book being "Hateful...by promoting discrimination, bigotry, or intolerance towards marginalized groups". A book that highlights courage and the spirit of overcoming, is considered "offensive content" because women say they don't feel safe or think it's fair for men to compete in their women's category. The angry, online trolls are not going to win! If you've ever felt helpless in this fight, your support here is a direct, powerful way to stand with these women (and those girls that come after).

These aren't just stories of injustice—they are about how adversity forges incredible strength and resilience, while also serving to preserve this moment in women's (Title IX) history. Readers—especially women and girls—will be uplifted and empowered to trust their voice and take bold action. It is shining a bright light on these women's extraordinary courage, resilience, and faith, sharing that inspiration with the world.

The book features powerhouse voices like Riley Gaines (NCAA swimmer and leading advocate), Payton McNabb (the high school volleyball player whose life-altering injury sparked national awareness), Jen Sey (XX-XY Athletics founder), and Nancy Hogshead (Olympic gold medalist and Champion Women founder) and Tish Hyman (musician and future LA mayor!). It also includes 35 other courageous women, from a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star fired for defending girls sports publicly, to 16-year-olds targeted by Antifa simply for sharing their stories from the stage. Each has endured fierce backlash, cancellation and threats—yet stood firm. Their testimonies reveal adversity's positive power: forged strength, deepened faith, and unshakeable resolve.

Funds from this campaign will cover essential costs for producing a polished, market-ready book that makes it highly attractive to publishers and strengthens my position to negotiate the best possible royalties so I can support charities that defend women's sports:

  • $4,000 for 40+ interviews, reels, and highlights
  • $6,000 for professional book editing
  • $2,500 for professional video
  • $5,000 for social media marketing (podcasts, reels, YouTube, X)
  • $1,000 for initial cover design
  • $1,000 logo and website redesign
  • $5,000 Marketing & PR
  • $500 Fees to GiveSendGo

Our goal: $25,000 to bring these courageous stories to life. Every dollar beyond that powers more marketing and book signing events around the nation!! Thank you for joining the movement! -Arwen #SaveWomensSports
