I remember sitting in a cell thinking, “Why is this happening to me?” My family & friends watched the afternoon news in disbelief of what they were hearing. Little did I know that it would become one of those life-altering moments where everything changes in an instant. The screen was filled with images of me—not as I am today, but through distorted lenses created by the media. They painted a picture far from reality, twisting facts to fit their narrative and leaving my character in tatters.

This wasn't just about me; it was about standing up for what we believe in: the Second Amendment. It’s not just about owning firearms—it’s about preserving our rights, freedoms, and traditions that generations have fought for. But this incident turned my world upside down. Legally owned firearms were seized by ATF agents without a warrant because of baseless allegations. I was wrongfully arrested, spending 10-15 days in Vanderburgh County Jail Indiana then another 15-20 days in Jefferson County Jail Illinois — a federal holding facility meant for longer stays than mine.

The cost? Not just the financial burden but also the emotional and psychological toll. It’s been a few days since my release from jail 3/14/26, awaiting trial while struggling to make ends meet. I was earning an honest living with Lyft when all this unfolded; now, I can't even work because of pending legal issues.
