For four consecutive years, a Solemn High Rorate Mass — according to the Traditional Latin Mass — has been offered at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Newman Center.

This is a totally candle-lit Mass held each year at 6:30 AM on a Saturday morning in Advent, all before the sun rises, symbolizing us waiting in darkness for the coming of the light. Despite the heavily inopportune time for college students, hundreds show up every year for this.

Now, for the fifth annual Rorate Mass, our local ordinary, Bishop James Conley, has offered to celebrate this Mass, elevating the ceremonial considerably.

The cost to putting this memorable Mass on isn't negligible. It involves candelabras, a plethora of candles, materials for a pontifical throne, and more.

Please prayerfully consider giving even a small amount to proliferating and preserving Catholic tradition, especially with young adults on fire for the faith.

May God reward your generosity!
