My Girlfriend, Meilin (who I've been dating for about a month now) is a Christian Convert and native of Indonesia. For 20 years, she has lived in fear, oppression, and persecution, primarily perpetrated by her Father (who we will call Mr. R). Mr. R is an alcoholic, abusive Muslim who controls every aspect of her life and has physically, mentally, and emotionally abused her since she was a teenager. On multiple occasions, he broke her arm, requiring medical treatment. He has cameras set up all over the house, monitoring her every action, he sometimes confiscates her cell phone and searches it. Mei is also forced to cook, clean, and do basically everything and cater to Mr. R's every whim. She is forced to follow his religion, and her status as a new Christian convert has been hidden from Mr. R to keep her from facing potential punishment. Mei also has a blood condition which requires her to have a major blood transfusion operation done once roughly every 6 weeks. Recently, during one of Mr. R's drunken episodes, he dragged her face across the pavement and caused her to receive ghastly wounds to her face, of which she sent me photographs of. Thankfully, it is healed now as she documented its healing process. This campaign is primarily dedicated to paying for a plane ticket from Indonesia to the United States. I have found a reliable and safe home she will be able to reside in for as long as she needs to, with a friend of mine. We need multiple things to ensure she is safe and protected, such as money for medical bills, grocery money, etc. But for now, we are merely asking for assistance with the plane ticket portion of this endeavor. We are both currently working and are saving up our own money as much as possible to put towards this project, and do not expect charity to provide all of the funds needed for this project. However, I, being a type 1 diabetic who just lost my insurance, and her having her money controlled my Mr. R, struggle to save the money needed to get her out of there, so donations help speed this process along greatly. We are working on facilitating the citizenship process for her as well. She already has her passport. Please understand that she is in very real and present active danger. He has hurt her before and he WILL do it again.

We are confident that through the power of Jesus Christ, hard work, and a little help from our friends, we can do this and save her from her situation.
