This Christmas, while many wish for gifts under the tree, I am wishing for something far more precious which is the chance to finally fall pregnant and bring a baby into this world.

For years, I have carried the dream of becoming a mother so close to my heart. I have imagined tiny footsteps in my home, soft cries in the quiet of the night, and the warmth of a little one resting peacefully on my chest. But instead of joy, I’ve faced heartbreak after heartbreak — miscarriage after miscarriage — each one shattering a piece of me that I never thought could break.

Some nights I still wake up wondering what I could have done differently… why my arms remain empty… and why a dream so natural for many feels so painfully far out of reach for me.

But even through the pain, I am still here. Still believing. Still holding onto hope. Still fighting for the child my heart already loves.

My doctor has now told me that IVF is my strongest chance of finally carrying a baby to full term. They recommended 2 to 3 IVF cycles to give me the best possible chance at success. It is the light at the end of a long, painful tunnel, a light I am desperate to reach. But the cost of these treatments is more than I can manage alone.
