Robert entered the army at 17. While in bootcamp, he had his 18th birthday and was chosen to be an Army Ranger. As an elite soldier, Robert completed three tours in Afghanistan. The many parachute jumps and extensive combat training left Robert with permanent back pain and lifelong injuries. As an Army Ranger, Robert was injured many times. Some of these injuries are not just physical. He has great difficulty sleeping due to night terrors. Robert has PTSD from his time of service. It should be noted that Robert is much more fortunate than fellow Rangers who did not come home. However, my boy entered the US Army at 17 and came home four years later, almost broken.
When Robert completed his service with the Army, he enrolled at Penn State. He had always wanted to be a teacher. He graduated in December of 2020 and was looking forward to being a history teacher. His love of our beautiful country led Robert to the Capitol on January 6th. Robert happened to be at the west terrace tunnel when Rosanne Boyland died. I invite you to read the updates below and follow this difficult journey with us.
Please consider supporting Robert. Funds will go toward legal and other expenses. Thank You!
The Ranger Creed~
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers.
Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite Soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other Soldier.
Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some.
Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained Soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.
Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.
Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.
Rangers lead the way!

The article below will show who you have been supporting. ~ Please click on link...
Robert gives a special thanks to the the author of this article, his friend, Kylie Thomas. Her reporting means the world to Robert.
God Bless You!
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Update #21 April 24, 2022
Robert was not released on bond on Friday.... The motion for bond was not filed as I had anticipated. It will be filed shortly. I am greatly impressed with Robert's positive attitude and know that everything is in God's timing. I am so very thankful for your prayers and thank you for your continued support. The motion will be filed very shortly. I pray for Robert's release in the near future. It seems that the legal system is full of delays...a slow process. I am learning to be patient. A trial date has been set for August 29th.
God Bless You! I will continue to keep you posted as we walk this road together.
Update #20 April 21, 2022
Hello Dear Friends,
Tomorrow is the big day... Robert will go before the Honorable Judge McFadden at 1:00 (Eastern Standard Time). We are praying that Judge McFadden will release Robert on bond. So many of you have been loyal supporters, kind and lifted up Robert in prayer. I will be in court tomorrow and anticipate posting an update by tomorrow evening. I pray that Robert is given bond. I am including a wonderful article released today by Kylie Thomas. Ms. Thomas' article shares many details about Robert's community service and uplifting personality.
God Bless You for walking this journey with me! I can't express how much it means to know that there are such good people praying and supporting Robert through this period in his life.
On Good Friday, I thank you for your support and friendship.
Robert is preparing to give a Good Friday service for the other inmates in his pod this evening. This Good Friday service will include worship, a message of hope, and prayer. I sent Robert the lyrics of three worship songs so he can prepare the worship portion of this evening's service. I pray that God's mighty presence will be felt by the other inmates. Please join me in praying for God's divine love, protection and covering over this evening's service. .
Robert's next hearing is April 22nd. The 22nd of April is one week from today. Robert has been leaning on the Lord these many, many months behind bars. I pray that the judge will release Robert to home confinement next week. Please join me in this prayer.
I am thankful for your friendship on Good Friday and praying that the Lord keeps you in his loving care. God Bless You!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Update #18 March 6, 2022
Emails and Prayers~
I have made a decision that I want to share with you.
First, I want all to know that I greatly appreciate the emails and kind prayers that I have received. Unfortunately, there is someone who is messaging constantly through GIveSendGo who is ill informed and hurtful. For this reason, I have made the decision to "turn off" the digital prayer opportunity. I am also going to stop reading the emails, for now. Hopefully, this will disengage this person\'s interest. From what I understand, I am one of many that this person is contacting. I am choosing not to engage with this person!! May God speak to this person, soften their heart and bring them peace.
Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Corinthians 16:14
Update #17 March 6, 2022
Robert was in Washington DC for another status hearing this past Friday, March 4th. Robert traveled by van from Northern Neck Regional Jail to DC. He waited for his hearing in the chain link "box" and was brought into the court room when it was time for his hearing. Friday\'s hearing began at 4:00.
In my opinion, little was accomplished at this hearing--> Once again, discovery was addressed. At the previous hearing in February, I was left with the impression that the government needed to provide all discovery by April. At today\'s hearing the government was not able to provide a date for the completion of this uploading of discovery. The uploading of discovery makes it accessible. At this point, the government arrested Robert in June and is still struggling to provided his defense with appropriate discovery. This makes it difficult to prepare for trial which will presumably be in August. This issue was brought up on Friday. For example, presumably the government has been using their resources to "seek and review" for over 14 months. Once/if Robert and his attorney receive discovery, it will be close to the trial date. On Friday, April 22nd at 1pm, discovery will once again be discussed.
Friday, April 22nd at 1pm is the date for Robert\'s next status hearing.
Robert and I are enjoying our Saturday morning conversation and worship time. He is able to call me and we pray, listen to music, and visit as long as possible. Many of the other inmates are still sleeping when he calls on Saturday mornings. With others sleeping, there is little interest in the phone. This gives Robert the opportunity to call back after his 15 minute phone call has ended.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and prayers. God Bless You for your kindness! Our Heavenly Father is with us.
The world is not the same as it was when Robert attended his February status hearing. It seems that our world is in great distress. I pray for strength and comfort to rest on you during these uncertain and difficult times. In difficult times and in times of plenty, I pray that we can grow closer to God. May we set a good example for our children so that they may know your love and goodness.
God bless you and your family.
Update #16 February 28, 2022
Hello Again Friends~
Today is Sunday, February 27, 2022.
A January 6th defendant, Matthew Perna, took his own life on February 25th. His obituary reads that he died from a broken heart. From what I understand, Matthew had agreed to a plea deal and sentencing was scheduled for March 3rd. However, The DOJ added more charges in the last few days.
His family has shared the following about the situation~
"They informed him the other day that they were pursuing additional charges. He couldn\'t take another day."
Matthew Perna was 37 years old and loved his country. Please join me in praying for his family during this very sad time.
On a different note, the first J6 trial begins tomorrow. I will keep you posted on the progression of the trial.
Thank you for your kindness and support. I also greatly appreciate your prayers.
Update #15 February 18, 2022
Hello Dear Friends,
The GiveSendGo platform has "struggled" the past few weeks. At this time, it seems to be working. That being said, I am not able to access any prayers or emails, sent to me. For this reason, I have "turned off" the option for friends to send prayers. Instead, I have added three prayer requests.
Robert to have healing sleep (Sleep is very difficult at this time)
Robert remain safe as he shares God\'s love within the prison walls
Exoneration from all charges
I can\'t express the appreciation Robert has for you all. When I share messages and donations with him, he is very humbled. Robert would like you all to know how deeply touched he is by your kindness.
God Bless You!
Update #14 February 10, 2022
I want to apologize that this update is coming to you late. I haven\'t been able to connect to GiveSendGo with success, this past week. Today, the site seems to be working well.
Last Friday, Robert had his hearing in DC. There is very little to update from this hearing. A few things took place~
Robert declined the plea deal he was offered.
When asked, Robert did not give up his right to a speedy trial. I don\\'t see Robert\\'s statement making any difference... We are looking at the end of August or September as our trial date.
The prosecution has still not produced all evidence. The judge would like the prosecution to produce this evidence by the next hearing, in March.
This is a sad state of affairs. However, so many people have been loving and kind. Robert sends his love appreciation for your support.
Update #13 February 3, 2022
Today is February 3, 2022...
Robert was arrested on June 11, 2021.
Currently, Robert is working as a painter at Northern Neck Regional Jail. His job has him painting all areas of the jail. He has shared a few of the prisoner graffiti "messages" he has painted over... They are painful cries for help. This whole situation has opened my eyes to the pain felt within our prisons. ...so sad.
Having earned a job gives Robert the opportunity to be in the "honor pod". This pod is made up of other inmates who also a job. Life is still very unpredictable and difficult but somewhat safer.
Robert\'s next status hearing is tomorrow, February 4th. I don\'t anticipate anything substantial occurring at this hearing. I will provide an update after it has concluded. I will probably have an updated trial date. At the last hearing, the date was scheduled for the end of August. I hear it is now being pushed into September.
God bless you all for your love and kindness. Friends~ Please know that your donations, messages of support and prayers mean so much. Thank You!
Update #12 January 14, 2022
Friends, I got to talk with Robert on the phone tonight. He asked me play a song so he could listen to it. Oh my heart.... I could hear him sobbing as the lyrics played on. My heart aches for Robert. Even during these lonely times, he finds joy, is thankful, and praises God. Robert also wishes to thank you for your prayers, kindness, support. Angela
Lyrics Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him. Job 13:15
Update #11 January 6, 2022
Today marks one year since January 6, 2021. I pray that Robert will be exonerated and released from prison in 2022. As you know, he has not been convicted of a crime but still remains locked up, awaiting trial which is scheduled to begin in August. By August, Robert will have been held 14 months without being convicted of a crime.
On a more positive note, I am very thankful for the kindness and support received by so many wonderful people. My heart is filled with the generosity and friendship received~ Thank You!
The legal battle continues for January 6th defendants and I am glad that you are walking this road with Robert.
Below is a link to Julie Kelly\'s recently released book. I highly recommend her book!
Today is the perfect time to let you all know how much I appreciate you. Your support, friendship, and kindness mean so much. Robert sends his love and wishes you all a Merry Christmas. I pray that you have a joyful Christmas with your family.
God Bless You All!
May the God of hope fill you with all joy
and peace as you trust in him, so that you
may overflow with hope by the power
of the Holy Spirit. ROM 15:13
In His Name,
Update #9 December 20, 2021
Robert's hearing on Friday, December 17th, did not go as we had hoped. He was not released on bond. I truly though Robert would be coming home with me... As the judge made his decision, my heart ached for Robert. As he left the courtroom and the door opened, I could see the chain link cages inmates wait in... Oh, I can't describe the emotional pain of seeing your child go through this. However, God is always present.
There have been prayer parthers who have been so faithful through this experience and I want you to know that your prayers are mighty. For example, Anna has lifted up Robert in prayer consistently. I have been reminded that we don't know God's plan. When Robert returned to Northern Neck Regional Jail, he was given a job and moved to a different pod (G). This pod is for inmates who hold a job and have demonstrated excellent behavior. He is in a safer place and is now a painter for the jail. God's work is amazing. Robert is an artistic person who has completed community service projects by painting. I am again reminded that God loves Robert and has not forsaken him.
I ask that you continue to pray for Robert. A trial date has been set for August 29, 2022. By this time, Robert will have been incarcerated for over 14 months. Please pray for Robert's attorney and for the progress towards trial to go well.
God Bless You All.
Update #8 December 17, 2021
As brothers and sisters in Christ, I ask for your prayers! Robert has a status hearing tomorrow, Friday, December 17th at 2:00. Although this is a stuatus hearing I have a feeling idsn my heart that Robert may be released. Please pray that if it is God's will, Robert will be released on bond. As his mom. my heart aches for what he is enduring. I pray that the Lord will determne that it is time for him to come home. (My last update stated "Thursday" the 17th... it should have stated "Friday the 17th... Sorry for any confusion.)
Please join me in prayer that Judge will determine that Robert can leave the confines of prison.
God Bless You!
Update #7 December 12, 2021
Today is Sunday, December 12th 2021... 12/12/2021. Yesterday marked six months since Robert's arrest. He has been in prison for six months. This is very, very sad.
On a positive note, Robert wants you all to know that he feels very blessed by your support and prayers. He knows that each day of this experience would be so much more difficult without support from patriots like you. You are a blessing!
This coming Thursday, December 17th, another status hearing will be held in Washington DC. It is not a bond hearing. Originally, I had thought that the 17th was a bond hearing which filled me with hope for Robert's release. Even with this news, God has filled Robert with emotional strength. He is praying with other inmates and light to others. During this difficult time, I am proud of his desire to live with as much peace and hope as he can. ...receiving this from our Heavenly Father!
My prayer is that a miracle will occur and Robert will be released on bond the 17th. Please join me in prayer that Robert will be released on bond this Thursday and come home. Through God, all things are possible.
Update #6 November 11, 2021
Veteran's Day 2021
As many of you know, Robert served as an Army Ranger completing three tours to afghanistan. Robert's congressman is Conor Lamb, representing the 17th Distrit of Pennsylvania. If possible, please contact Congressman Lamb regarding Robert's release on bond. Congressman Lamb can be contacted by utilizing the link below. Once you have clicked on the link below there will be the option to choose "Email Congressman Lamb"
Thank you for your support.
Update #5 November 7, 2021
A hearing was held in Washington DC on Friday. With the abuse Robert incurred, Robert's attorney pushed for release but this didn't occur. However, directly after the hearing he was transfered to Northern Neck Regional Jail in Warsaw, Virginia. He did not return to the DC jail where the abuse took place. He is still in holding at Northern Neck Jail and I believe will remain in holding until Monday. His next hearing is scheduled for December 17th in Washington, DC.
Thank you for your support and prayers! The last few days have been horrible but I find strength in our Heavenly Father and the kindness and support of so many.
Update #4 November 4, 2021
Yesterday, Robert's lawyer visited him at the Washington DC Correctional Treatment Facility. After meeting with his attorney, Robert was told he needed to be strip searched. The search that insued included emotional, physical, and sexual details. Julie Kelly, a senior contributor to American Greatness, wrote what happened to Robert. The article was released a few hours ago. Please read her article here:
Please pray for Robert's safety. I hold dearly onto God's precious hope. However, this has rocked me. My heart pains for my son.
Update #3 November 2, 2021
Hello to you all,
The last month has been more difficult than the previous... The conditions in the DC jail are horrendous and have only gotten worse. Recently, Robert's rations smelled like cleaning fluid and there have been pubic hairs included with the small amount of food. He is concerned about his health. For example there is a lack of nutrition, dirty drinking water, and mold within his cell. He has not been able to cut his hair or shave since his arrest on June 11th.
Due to social media making it difficult to share the GiveSendGo page, the donations have not come in as quickly as they have in the past. I am concerned about the legal fees but remind myself to be strong and pray. I recently interviewed with David Surall on Stop Hate. https://rumble.com/vocb8v-discussion-island-episode-38-angela-morss-10272021.html During this interview, I had the honor of sharing how Roberrt has received support from so many people who have been a tremendous blessing. I also talk about the peace that our Heavenly Father can provide. I am thankful for my faith, family, and friends during this difficult time. ...If you are praying for Robert, please know that I greatly appreciate your prayers and ask that you continue. Prayer for his health, safety, and a positive resolution to this situation would be apprciated. I pray that Robert will be home soon.
If you know anyone who would be interested in supporting Robert, please share the GiveSendGo link with them. The financial support is much appreciated.
God Bless You
Update #2 September 28, 2021
Words can not express my appreciation for the donations received from many wonderful people!
I lowered the fundraising goal amount today... We are very fortunate to have found an excellent attorney. The lowered fundraising goal will cover the retainer and expenses. We are a little over 10% of the way to the updated goal. Praise God!
I greatly appreciate the many words of kindness I have received form GiveSendGo contributers. My heart has been lifted up and supported so much through the comments and generous donations. If you know anyone who you believe may want to donate, please share the link. People like you are making this fundraising campagne possible. God Bless You!
Update #1 September 13, 2021
Robert was arrested on June 11th and is being held at the Washington DC Correctional Treatment Facility. The treatment at this facility is very poor. Robert has been denied bond and is currently being held until trial. However, a trial date has not been set. At a recent hearing, the Judge stated that one reason Robert should not be released on bond is because of his military training. The US Government recruited and trained Robert only to now hold it against him. Robert is a kind person with a desire to help others. He is leading prayer and other uplifting experiences while incarcerated. Prior to being an inmate, Robert did not hesitate to assist others. I was able to talk with Robert last night. I can\'t describe the hope your donations, prayers, and kind words have brought to him. Thank you for lifting up my son in prayer and supporting him during this very difficult time.
Through donations, 4% of our goal has been achieved in a short amount of time. Please share Robert\'s campaign with others. Robert\'s GiveSendGo campaign supports legal fees and other expenses. Thank You SO Much!
\"I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.\" Ps. 9:1
Robert to have healing sleep
Robert to be safe from harm as he spreads God's love from inside the prison walls
