Dr. Lori DeWitt was the Founding Executive Director of Faith Filled Women, a 501 (c) (3) faith based organization for women on Maryland’s Eastern Shore whose purpose is “To connect and equip women for the lives God intended them to live.”. Lori was called to her permanent home in Glory by her precious Lord on June 22, 2021. Lori was dedicated to the Kingdom work and her greatest desire in life was to make a lasting impact for the Kingdom of God. She did just that!

The funds raised from this campaign will be donated to Compassion International to establish the Dr. Lori DeWitt Legacy of Hope Memorial Endowment to sponsor a child in CI’s Child Sponsorship Program.

The Dr. Lori DeWitt Legacy of Hope Memorial Endowment with Compassion International is just another way that Lori continues to leave a legacy of impactful work for the Kingdom of God. The Legacy of Hope endowment gift ensures that a child sponsored by Lori’s Memorial Endowment is cared for in her name. The endowment takes the sponsored child from initial registration through graduation from Compassion’s Child Development Program. The dollars given to the endowment are invested into an endowment fund that accrues interest each year, covering monthly sponsorship support and annual birthday and Christmas gifts for the child. Additionally, support is also made to the child’s family to directly support the child. Once the sponsored child graduates from CI’s Child Sponsorship program, the endowment allows a subsequent child sponsorship to continue in Lori’s name, to perpetuity. This is a gift that will keep on working for God’s Kingdom.
