I am Thomas Scott Newgent, but I have always gone by Scott a trans man. In 2026, I resolved to reclaim my health after years of battling the consequences of medical transition. I braced myself for more surgeries and endless doctor visits, but nothing could have prepared me for the heartbreak of losing my smile. When my loose teeth sent me to the dentist, I was devastated to learn that hormone therapy had caused my bones to deteriorate so badly that all my front teeth needed to be removed. The mirror now reflects not just my journey, but my deepest vulnerability.

This setback has left me feeling exposed and fragile in ways I never anticipated. For years, friends and supporters urged me to start a fundraiser, honoring my commitment to activism and educating others about the realities of transition. But I always wanted to be strong for everyone else. Now, I find myself reaching out—not just for financial help, but for kindness, hope, and the chance to smile again. Maybe, with your compassion, I can.I have been called a HERO in Matt Walsh's documentary, "What is a woman," and now I need help myself.
