After unexpectedly losing my job on May 18, I’m asking for emergency bridge help to stay housed in Florida, keep my Jeep from falling further behind, cover food/gas, and survive until I secure new work. I’m actively interviewing and trying to get back on my feet, but the timing has become urgent.

I’m asking for emergency help because I am trying to stay housed, keep my vehicle, and remain stable in Florida after suddenly losing my job on May 18.

I moved to Florida to rebuild my life and finally felt like I was getting traction. I had a steady job in Palm Harbor doing customer outreach and phone-based support work, and I was working hard to catch up after a long stretch of survival mode. I was paying my rent, car note, insurance, food, gas, and all basic expenses on my own.

Then my position ended unexpectedly, and the timing hit hard.

I am not someone who wants to ask for help. I have been trying to handle everything myself, applying for jobs, interviewing, cutting expenses, and doing whatever I can to stay afloat. I had a strong interview this week for a new position and I am actively trying to get back to work as quickly as possible.

But right now I am in a dangerous gap.

My final paycheck is not enough to cover everything that is due. My rent is due, my Jeep payment is past due after a payment reversal I did not realize happened, and I need the Jeep to get to interviews and, God willing, to my next job. I also still need basic food, gas, insurance, and enough stability to make it through this bridge period without losing everything I have been trying to rebuild.

To make it harder, I filed for Florida Reemployment Assistance, but because of how the state calculates the “base period,” my 2026 wages from my most recent job are not being counted yet. Even though I worked and earned over $12,000 this year, the current claim is showing me as monetarily ineligible until the next filing window. That means unemployment is not available as immediate help right now.

I am asking for help with the urgent basics:

Rent and housing stability

Car payment / preventing repossession risk

Gas to get to interviews and work

Food and basic necessities

Bills that cannot wait while I search for work

My goal is not luxury. It is survival and stability. I am trying to stay in Florida, keep my home, keep my vehicle, and get back on payroll before this situation collapses further.

Anything helps. If you cannot donate, sharing this would mean a lot. I believe God has brought me this far for a reason, and I am trying not to give up while I wait for the next door to open.
