Hey there Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus!

As many of you know, the Phillips Family (Roy, Amy, Nathan, Natalie, Matthew, Joshua and Jonathan) were called by God to Alaska for ministry with the hope of a future church plant in 2019. We are thankful for your prayers and support for helping us get here as we have been serving the Lord in various ways since then! God has been faithful, and He is good, All the time!

After three years of serving, learning about our new community, and gaining first hand experience of how different ministry in Alaska is, we believe God is calling us to plant a church in Soldotna, AK!

A pre-Covid survey conducted here found that only 5-8% of Alaskans attend a church service on Sunday. Add to that the drop off many churches have experienced nationwide, with the understanding that many of the churches in our community are not teaching sound biblical doctrine, that percentage is much lower. It is paramount that the church do more than just wait for unchurched people to come to us, we must be intentional about being missional in our neighborhoods and community. That is why we are planting a new church, a new work in Soldotna to meet people where they are with the live of Christ, while holding steadfast to Christ and His Word, our firm foundation.

Foundation Church Soldotna, will “exist to help people experience a new life built on Jesus Christ.” We are planning to start new together as a church this November, being the church and preparing for a target launch date of Easter Sunday 2023.

In order to meet that goal, we are having the shoe store renovated to be a church! We are having all the shelving torn out and removed, walls patched, new carpet installed, and a coffee bar put int. This is all part of the $25k buildout cost that we need help with! We will also need a stage constructed, sound equipment, chairs etc, but covering the buildout cost is our most immediate need!
