Our Hero John. Incredible husband, father, grandfather, brother, father-in-law, mentor and friend. He loves hard and gives abundantly. If you are reading this, you have been on the receiving end of his generosity. He has literally given the shirt off his back more than once.

One week ago, John suffered a cardiac arrest. We thought we had lost him. In fact, that is what we were told. God in his infinite goodness has brought him back to us. He is now recovering from, not only a massive heart attack, but also a cardiac bypass surgery. There is a long road to recovery ahead for him.

There are some immediate needs that our Ma and Pa are experiencing. The most urgent being a source of heat for the house. They heat exclusively with wood. Chopping wood and feeding the stove will not be an option for some time. Another immediate need is replacing the claw foot bath tub with a shower in the downstairs bathroom.  Going forward, we also anticipate some copays and a few large bills not covered by Medicare (medical transport, etc.).

This is John’s season to be on the receiving end of whatever you can help with.  More than anything, he covets your prayers. Not being on the giving end will be difficult for John. We ask that the fundraising be kept discreet for now.
