I never thought I’d find myself in this situation, but here we are. Let me tell you my story—it might just tug at your heartstrings and inspire you to help us get back on the road. 

You see, I'm a single mom of three incredible kids: an adult daughter with special needs, a 10-year-old son, and an 8-year-old daughter who light up my life every day. Just when things seemed to be settling down... poof! Life threw me another curveball.

Earlier in the year my Chrysler Town & Country started acting up, and I had 2 dip into my rent for its shocks and struts. Then the unthinkable happened: my transmission went kaput. The van that got us through day-to-day life suddenly became a liability rather than our trusty chariot. Despite my best efforts (and wallet), I couldn’t afford to fix it, and sadly, had no choice but to let voluntary repossession take its course.

Fast forward to April this year, when I finally managed to scrape together enough money for another van from a private seller—so relieved that we had a vehicle again. But just as I started to breathe easier my van began overheating. And here we are in need of help to get this fixed. I have someone coming to look at it Wednesday to tell me what needs to be done. 

I’m not one to ask for handouts, but sometimes you have no choice when life kicks you while you're down—especially if that means missing your children’s medical appointments or being unable to pick up their prescriptions due to a broken-down car. It's heartbreaking and frustrating beyond belief. That’s why I'm reaching out to all of you today, hoping for support in repairing our van so we can get back on track—physically and emotionally.
