A Message From Barnabas Mission

Today, many of our fellow human beings are facing difficulties and deep troubles in their lives to a point of hopelessness. They are looking for love and kindness, and ultimately, hope that seems so out of reach. Would you be willing to share a small portion of how God has blessed your life with someone- if that act of kindness could lead him/her toward salvation and HOPE?

Barnabas Mission is a team focused on reaching out to those who are in need to share the Love of Christ, through the Gospel Message, toward providing a New Hope. We take these ministries as our life’s mission. We want to reach out to as many hurting and lost souls as possible. We believe this is the RIGHT thing to do, and what we are CALLED to do as Christians.

STREET WORSHIP MINISTRY

Last December, the Lord first placed the vision of street worship on our hearts. It was a ministry we had never tried before, so naturally, we felt fear and uncertainty as we began. But in God’s perfect timing, we were connected with Brother Joseph Butso, and through his willingness to join us, our very first street worship gathering turned out to be filled with grace and became a powerful encouragement to our team.

We truly experienced the Lord’s amazing guidance. Since then, we held another street worship in June and are now preparing for the third one on August 16. We also plan to hold two more gatherings by October. We confess that everything has been led and orchestrated by our sovereign God. All glory to Him!

SATURDAY KIDS CLUB

Saturday Kids Club is a ministry birthed through the passion of a missionary, serving refugee children living in the west side of Chicago. Every Saturday morning, the children gather at a local church where they hear the Gospel and are provided with a warm meal. Currently, about 30 refugee children attend the program regularly. Our Barnabas Mission Team supports this ministry financially and also participates by volunteering on Saturdays.

HOUSE OF PRAYER

Located in the north side of Chicago, House of Prayer is a church that ministers to the homeless, those struggling with addiction, and others in need. They share the Gospel and hold worship services every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.Since 2018, we have been consistently supporting them, and since the launch of the Barnabas Mission, our involvement has grown to include financial support and active participation in Saturday services every two months joining in worship, fellowship, and serving lunch.

 PACIFIC GARDEN MISSION

Founded in 1877 by Christian couple Colonel George and Sarah Dunn Clarke, Pacific Garden Mission (PGM) is one of the oldest homeless shelters in the United States, located in the heart of Chicago.PGM currently serves nearly 1,000 homeless men, women, children, and the elderly; many of whom struggle with depression, addiction, or past criminal history. They are welcomed with love and worship three times a day, where they hear the Gospel and are introduced to Jesus Christ. Through discipleship ministry, addiction recovery programs, and various forms of support, PGM works tirelessly to help each person who comes in with a broken heart become a fully functioning follower of Christ. Our church currently visits PGM twice a year, providing support through donations of clothing, shoes, daily necessities, and voluntary offerings.

KOREAN-CHINESE CHURCH OF CHICAGO

Korean-Chinese Church of Chicago is a ministry dedicated to sharing the Gospel with refugees and ethnic Koreans from China (Joseonjok) who have resettled in the United States after escaping from . As a relatively small church, they are not yet financially self-sustaining. Our Barnabas Mission Team has been providing financial support to this church, and every two months we join them for Sunday worship and fellowship. Since the end of last year, we’ve had the privilege of visiting five times

🌈 **Your support is more than money; it’s about creating moments of warmth and dignity in the midst of hardship.** Samuel needs us to remember him because that memory might just be what turns another night into a little bit easier, turning cold nights into bearable ones filled with kindness.

Let's do this together—because when we stand united, nothing is impossible! 💪🏼✨

Thank you for being part of our story and making miracles happen one person at a time. #HopeCarriesOn #CommunityCares
