Hello,

For those who don’t know us, my name is Eve, and this is my husband, Jesse. We’re reaching out for help with an urgent transportation issue that has deeply impacted our lives.

Jesse is a diesel mechanic, and we’ve always worked on our vehicles ourselves. However, three years ago, Jesse was hospitalized, and since then, some repairs have become physically unsafe for him to do. Despite these challenges, we’ve managed to keep up with my car’s maintenance needs, even though Jesse’s truck has been sidelined temporarily. Unfortunately, my car broke down on December 26th after overheating, and the needed repairs are beyond what Jesse can safely handle.

Since then, I’ve been relying on borrowed vehicles and rides from a coworker to commute to my job. My work requires me to drive about 1,350 miles a month, and without reliable transportation, this has been a huge strain on us. Jesse, who needs to attend physical therapy and medical appointments, has also been severely affected by our transportation challenges, which have only grown more difficult since my car stopped working.

We have a couple of options to get back on the road, but we don’t have the funds to pursue any of them. We’ve been able to borrow a vehicle for a short time, but we urgently need to secure a long-term solution as soon as possible to avoid further strain on our ability to work and get medical care.
