4 years ago I was on top of the world doing what I loved. I loved driving a truck but I can't anymore. I am now to the point where I can barely walk because of nerve damage in my lower spine. I am on disability now but that's not enough to pay my bills every month. But that's another story. I'll be getting an electric wheelchair but I need a platform to attach to the back of my truck to transport it. My health insurance will pay for the wheelchair but they will not pay for the platform. It doesn't do any good to have the chair if I don't have a way of hauling it. I can't risk picking it up and putting it in the back of my truck. I'll be 62 on Sunday and I never thought for a single minute that I would be in the position of having to choose between buying medications, paying bills,or eating. Or in this case getting the platform that I need to transport the electric wheelchair. I have also had nine heart attacks which makes it impossible for me to use a regular wheelchair. My heart just won't take the physical activity. To keep things reasonable I have picked out a wheelchair platform that is the lower in price as there are many that are very expensive. And I'm not asking for anything expensive just the bare minimum to get me by. Besides needing to get out and go do the things that I have to do on a daily basis it would be nice if I could get out and go enjoy life a little bit. I live in an old small camper and I feel like it is my jail because I can't go out and do anything other than what is necessary such as going to the grocery store or picking up medications etc.
