Dear friends and family,

In July 2023 I received that diagnosis that no woman wants to hear: “You have breast cancer.”

I was shocked. Many who know me – know how I am on top of our diet, and we are ‘well-known’ for our healthy lifestyle. Home-cooking. Gardening. The whole bit!

While I am very grateful to God for His care and treatment up till now, you can imagine this journey has had its share of fears and challenges.

After a slew of doctor’s visits and exams, I had a mastectomy. Also, there was a small tumor in the sentinel lymph node; it was removed along with 10 others. The oncologist felt that I should then have chemotherapy.

So my husband and I thought about the optioins and prayed for direction. We had several discussions with others who have had cancer and who have been at the same crossroad. The high possiblity of some very bad side effects from chemotherapy could not be ignored.

Based on all these factors, I am getting immunotherapy treatments instead of chemotherapy. The approach uses multiple modalities to build up and restore the body’s ability to fight cancer cells .

This is the reason I started this campaign with Give-Send-Go.  Although immunotherapy is an option in one or two institutions in the U.S. and a few countries, it is not covered by U.S. insurance companies.  Consequently, we are left with a large medical bill, more than the amount we hope to raise in my campaign.

We are asking for help to cover these bills and whatever amount you feel led to contribute would be a huge blessing to us. Please, feel free to spread the word among friends. We are very thankful for God’s provision thus far,  and we are also thankful for you! We appreciate your continued prayers!
