Our dear Steve, always so vibrant and full of life, began showing signs of illness in February 2023. He wasn't quite himself, eating less and losing weight. By August, we sought medical help, undergoing MRIs and blood tests. On August 28th, we found ourselves rushing to the ER where we were hit with the heartbreaking news - Steve had cancer and a bowel obstruction.
Navigating this health crisis without insurance was overwhelming, to say the least. Steve had to spend two weeks in the hospital, and it wasn't until 9/1 that we managed to secure insurance, albeit with high deductibles. He underwent a major operation on 9/28 to remove a 10cm mass and address the bowel issue. Now, we're in the midst of chemo and radiation sessions.
While I'm able to meet our basic expenses, the mounting medical bills are becoming a huge burden. We're prioritizing as best we can, but any financial assistance to help cover the medical costs, transportation, and essential needs like food and nutrition supplements would be a godsend. Your support, no matter how small, can make a big difference as we rely on God to carry us through this challenging time. 🙏 #StayStrongSteve #GivingTwosday2023

Dear amazing supporters,
We're excited to share that Steve has been doing well lately, eating more and getting the rest he needs. We have a crucial appointment with the Radiology Oncologist on December 6th, and we'll keep you posted with updates. Your donations and prayers have been a tremendous source of strength.
As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to express our deep gratitude. Your generosity has touched our hearts. We'll be celebrating a small meal at home, cherishing much-needed quality time together. Happy Thanksgiving to each one of you, and thank you for being a part of Steve's journey.

Good Morning from Steve,
I Want to thank everyone who has donated and shared this. The generosity of everyone has been uplifting to say the least. I have been having some tough days but yesterday was a little better. I was able to eat a little more without getting nauseous so that is a blessing! I have a PET scan on the 27th and then the follow up with oncology on December 5th. They are also waiting for the referral to Radiology Oncology to see if my radiation therapy will be approved. Thank you to every single one of you who sees this and prays for me, Shawna, and our families! Here is a new picture that Shawna took of our dog Lilith and I hanging out yesterday ❤️😍🙏🙏
