My family of 6, including myself, are struggling to make it and have found ourselves behind a massive amount of debt and are at risk of losing our car and our home. We are 36, 31, 11, 6, 5, and 2 years old. We have always helped others when they needed it as a good neighbor, friend, or family member. Now we find ourselves being the ones who need some help and that help cannot be found anywhere. We have asked and those we've helped can't, won't, or just don't get back to us. We love our neighbor, but it seems they don't love us.

I left my job in 2020 and used my Army GI Bill to go back to school. I graduated in October of 2022 and have been unable to find work since. I either don't have the experience required or I'm "over qualified" (I've even applied to fast food places to make ends meet, but can't get hired). I collect VA disability, but it's barely enough to cover our rent. My wife was working until she injured her foot. She is now not working, pending surgery for repairs to her bone. We haven't even been able to get approved for government aid, so I've been using my disability to pay for foosls and lettinf rent slide. We've been scraping by for the last few months and I've taken out loans just to put food on the table. We've missed several payments on our car, our cellphones are disconnected, we are behind on our electric bill, and will be two months behind on rent come September 1st.

I have several interviews lined up, but unless we get caught up very soon, we're going to be homeless and without a vehicle. Not to mention it does no good to have interview without a working phone.

Any help anyone can give would be more than we have now. Even if it's just a prayer our way, that still means the world. If anyone can find it in their heart to donate, please do. Whatever is left over from our goal will go to a charity for veterans.
