Alright Friends- The University of Michigan told me that they can only do SO MUCH for me regarding my worsening health conditions. They said I NEED to find a way to improve my overall situation ASAP.

Currently, I have a plethora of auto-immune diseases, such as Systemic Scleroderma, that have wreaked havoc on my life. I was diagnosed in 2014 & three short years later my husband would file for divorce. The court systems don’t look too kindly on parents with disabilities so I was only granted 30% custody of my children. The children I had stayed home with for ten years, the children I brought into this world & saw through all of their ups & downs. From 2017-2019 no matter how hard I tried life just got harder & more difficult to maneuver. In 2020, we all moved back to Michigan for better healthcare, family & support. In 2021, due to Covid, I lost my condo & started renting a single room at a friends house. I lost more custody of my kids & eventually in 2022, I lost them completely.

In August, it will be ONE YEAR since I became homeless. Family housing WAS available in December but my ex took full custody of my children in late October & I cannot access family benefits until I get back some form of custody. 👩‍👧‍👧

Just a reminder, since November, due to my health I’ve had to leave my job & my car was eventually repossessed. I have not had steady income for 6 months. I am applying for jobs every week but with no car, several disabilities & weak internet at the hotel, I am very limited in what I can do.

I have not seen my children in FIVE months. I get to talk to Vivien twice a week for 5-10 minutes, I text with Aidan as much as he’ll reply but Patrick is very angry with me due to my situation & has become distanced. Which I understand completely.

ANYTHING you can offer to my situation would be unbelievably appreciated. Any form of support makes a difference. I have spent the past year being isolated, sick, severely depressed & hopeless. That needs to end or my health issues will only worsen.

I’ve overcome so much in this lifetime & I haven’t been beaten yet, but this is the lowest I’ve ever fallen. And it’s a LONG climb to the top-to safety & stability. Thank you for reading this long post. Blessings. ♥️
