Supporting Kelly & Xailey
Kelly is a devoted, single mother to her 11-year-old daughter, Xailey. Kelly was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer and will be having a double mastectomy (both breasts will be removed) on March 20th followed by vigorous chemotherapy and radiation. Unfortunately, doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital anticipate her going through long-term treatment and recovery, which will not allow her to return to work for a significant amount of time. She is a dedicated, special education teacher, therapist, and a faithful woman of God, so we ask for prayers as well as financial help. Let's show love and help support Kelly and Xailey during the challenging times ahead.

It's been over 1 year since my diagnosis and WOW what a rollercoaster of a ride! Recovering has been difficult but it's allowed me to slow down and continue to count our blessings. After chemo I underwent 5 weeks of radiation and am now in hormone treatment. Thank you again for all the love. Please keep us in prayer for the Lord to continue supplying our needs. Diagnosis and treatment come with physical, emotional, psychological, and financial strain but God is always faithful!

Round 7!!!
Had a bad reaction to treatment during round 6 so changed to a different chemo and 7 is going well. I have flu like symptoms but I'm so happy I'm almost done. Just 1 more round to go! Xailey & I are fighting through this and we couldn't do without your love, support, and prayers. Thank you 💞🙏🏽

Post surgical appointment went well! My drain tubes were removed (not my most favorite experience 🥴) but feeling such a relief already 😊. There was a concern that I may carry the cancer gene meaning I would also have to remove my ovaries but thank the Lord I don't & won't have to 🙏. Oncologist appointment is set for April 11th and we'll go over chemo then. Thank you for all the love, support, and prayers 💖🙏🏽

Recovery from surgery is going well. I've been having pain & discomfort but thankfully it's being managed by my wonderful care team which includes my amazing baby girl.

Since being home, I've had minimal pain that's manageable and wonderful help & support. I've been resting when my body needs it and love spending time reading all your notes and prayer requests. Thank you all for your prayers & support 🙏🏽💕
