I was moved to Texas by my ex-husband for his job. I've been a single Mom in Texas now, for many years. It has been a tremendously hard life and a real struggle to keep us all safe, happy and fed. This was complicated by the fact that my youngest was born with Spina Bifida, and further compounded by the fact that I had no skills and no education. We often did not know where our next meal was coming from...but God has always been faithful to watch over us. When COVID hit, I was working with the ER staff at our local hospital. I couldn't take the risk of getting the virus. I had to make the tough decision to retire. I am getting up in years and beginning to have health issues. My son is concerned that I will reach the point where I need help that he cannot provide. I am concerned that if something happens to me he will be left with NO ONE, helpless, alone and at the mercy of whoever comes along. We have some family in Michigan, where I was born and raised. I am working on getting us back there so that we can enjoy family and have some support. The problem is that I live on Social Security Benefits and he lives on SSI. Needless to say, we don't have money left at the end of the month to put into savings. I have been advised that the move itself could cost upwards of $5,000. That is before application fees, a down payment, and the first month's payment for rent and utilities, etc. It is overwhelming. But, I know that God is leading us to make this move. It is the only way my son will be able to function going forward. He will be in his own handicapped-accessible apartment and I will be in senior housing. We will find out what kind of assistance he will need going forward, to enable him to maintain his independence. Right now we both need all the help we can get. If you can help in any way, your gift will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your kind consideration. HEAVENLY SYMPHONY
