Hi guys it's Shawn. Just want to tell you what's been going on in my life during the past couple of months. I was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer after a routine colonoscopy. Since then it has been a whirlwind of MRI and CAT scans and CHEMO infusions. My regimen is IV treatments every 3 weeks with oral chemo pills every 14 days starting the day of the infusion. I'm pretty much the poster boy when it comes to side effects. I've experienced everything from hand foot syndrome (where I lose all the skin on my hands and feet) to blacking out after an infusion and needing oxygen and having to have my wife hold me up while the nurses run to get medicine to bring me back around. Although this is definitely one of the hardest things I've ever been through God has definitely changed my outlook on life and made me realize what amazing people he has put in my path. Bass fishing has been my passion for the last 30 years. I think about it while I'm lying in bed at night. I love it! I can't wait to get on the water and compete against you guys again. Capital Bass Club has always had great fisherman in it and to win money in a tournament in our club is saying something. You've beat some really good fishermen! Some of my best friends in the world are in the club and I met them when I joined the club. Hope to see you on the water soon and thank you for being my friends.
