My Wife and I have a heart for missionaries and pastors and those that give of their time to teach and serve out of a calling and a passion to share Christ. For several years it has been on our heart to facilitate these leaders here in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and serve those who serve. We would like to bring together our leaders in small intimate groups that allow time for respite and reflection and a time for worship and praise mentored by inspirational Christian leaders. By doing these things we will challenge, encourage, and allow an environment where our leaders are given the opportunity to share, seek guidance, and ask for prayer. Just as important for our leaders are the relationships that will form and our hope is that fellowship, accountability and transparency with each other will continue. During these troubled times the attacks on the Church have increased and our leaders are in serious need. It is obvious that our Pastors, Missionaries, Small Group Leaders, Worship Leaders and Christian Organizations are experiencing personal spiritual attacks as individuals and families. For this reason we look to our Saviour to guide us on this mission to Serve Those That Serve
"Lord, you are our hope and our trust" Psalm 71:5, "We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain Hebrews 6:19.
This desire led us to acquire a 42 acre lot that has an 8,000 square foot lodge that used to be called the 'Ark'. When asked what we were doing with this Lodge and property I knew what God had impressed on my heart, my short reply was we are facilitators and in that one word, a very clear direction to bring our leaders together to be refreshed and renewed.
The Lodge and acreage was once an active Church Retreat named Holy Land, USA. This Lodge was built in the 70's and now is in need of major repair. The roof is47 years old, the HVAC has been evaluated and needs replaced, and there is major exterior and interior needs that need to be repaired or updated. The grounds and inner roads are in need of grading and new gravel and the acreage needs to be reclaimed. We would like to build 7 small cabins with electric and water, have a commercial kitchen installed, and offer several other options to the guests when staying here.
If you feel led to give we would be honored to be accountable to you and have an independent financial firm oversee all of your contributions.
Thank you and may you rest in our God's amazing love!
