Chris Frontiero, a member of the Church of Christ, and a long time member of the Tampa Bay hockey community in both the youth and adult world, lost his home in a devastating fire on Tuesday, January 11th. We are thankful there were no injuries and all were safe. Chris has been an influential person for many years in creating hockey opportunities for the youth in the Tampa Bay area and now needs our help.  Most recently, in 2020, Chris started the Florida Independent Hockey League, a four team league, that has created an opportunity for over eighty youth hockey players to grow their skills in a competitive, NHL format game scenario. Chris has given countless hours of his time and energy to ensure the success of the league.  He has spent years training players and being a mentor to them in all areas of life, not just hockey.  Chris is a member of the Church of Christ also, and relies on his faith to get through the many trials life brings to all of us.  He refused to have any kind of mechanism like this put in place because he believes it is he who should be helping others, not others helping him.  After a lot of pressure from us, his friends in the hockey community, he relented and is letting us move forward with this effort.  The home he lost he waited six months to get into and was not yet even fully settled and had only moved in, just last September. Chris is hopeful that the home can be rebuilt either completely or in part, and that he will be able to remain in the area that he found so peaceful, in Odessa.  If you would please consider making a contribution to helping Chris to get back on his feet, I know he would be forever greatful, and work even harder at paying it forward, as he and his children are getting resettled.

We have created this Give Send Go as the vehicle for those that wish to offer their support to Chris and his family by way of contributing whatever you are able, and the money will go directly to Chris to get into position to start to rebuild what he has lost in the fire.
