Helping children trapped in bonded labor stay warm this winter

I won’t use her name for security reasons, but there is a minister in Pakistan who faithfully brings the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to children living in extremely difficult conditions. She currently serves children in two different brick-kiln communities.

These children are trapped in bonded labor — working to pay off family debt that, for many, was borrowed generations ago. Their childhoods are being stolen. Day after day, they are forced to make bricks by hand, with no machinery, no tools, and no protection. Just their small bodies working in the scorching heat of summer and the bitter cold of winter.

Their families live in extreme poverty. Their homes are simple mud-brick rooms with little insulation. Many of the children have no warm clothing, no proper shoes, and no blankets to protect them from the cold.

I have personally verified the identity of the minister through a live video call with her and her son. I have seen pictures of the children she serves. I have seen their faces. And it breaks my heart. Are they being taught the Good News of Jesus Christ? YES! but they also need support for their physical bodies.

What Your Support Will Provide

Your gift will go directly toward providing:

  • Warm winter clothing
  • Proper shoes for working and walking
  • Thick blankets
  • Hats to keep their heads warm
  • Coats (preferably with hoods)
  • Thermal Socks

Even small gifts make a life‑changing difference in Pakistan, where a dollar goes much further than it does here.

Real Costs in Pakistan

These are verified prices for good, durable, warm items:

3,095 PKR (~$11 USD*): A warm, high‑quality coat

1,290 PKR (~$4.60 USD*): A durable pair of shoes

1,900 PKR (~$6.80 USD*): A warm tracksuit (Fleece-lined)

450 PKR (~$1.60 USD*): A Wool hat and neck warmer

180 PKR (~$0.64 USD*): Thick Winter socks

500 PKR (~$1.80 USD*): Thermal undershirt

500 PKR (~$1.80 USD*): Thermal leggings

A complete winter kit for one child (coat, shoes, thermals, socks, hat, gloves...) costs:

Total per child: 8,915 PKR ≈ $31.80* USD

If you add a Thick Warm Blanket: 9,000 PKR (~$32.14 USD*). A heavy razai (a thick quilt) is not meant for one person. It’s large, warm, and designed to cover:

• Two adults and one small child, or

• Two or three children, or

• A mother and several children

Families treat these as family bedding, not individual items.

*Current Exchange Rate as of January 13, 2026.

Keep in mind that the cost will vary depending on sizes and items available for purchase. This is for good, long‑lasting items, not the thin, cheap ones.

Our Goal

To provide full winter kits for as many children as possible (not including the blanket).

•     $32 fully equips one child

•     $320 equips ten children

•     $3,180 equips one hundred children

Every dollar helps. Every coat matters. Every blanket brings warmth. Every pair of shoes protects little feet from cold mud. But we want to do more.

I’m working closely with the Minister, and we came up with a goal of $7000.00 US Dollars. This will ensure that every child that she serves gets the correct type of clothing and items, like blankets, that is needed to stay warm. Any money that is left over, after providing these items for the children, will go towards ministering to the families of the children. No money will be given to the families but will be used by the Minister to buy necessary items that these families need.

Just to be clear, any funds raised will go directly to the Minister, and she will make sure that the correct items are bought. She’s wise. And with Gods guidance — she’ll know what to do.

Look, these children are precious in the eyes of God. They deserve warmth, dignity, and protection. They deserve to know that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.

Your generosity will put real, tangible help directly into the hands of a minister who is faithfully serving them every day. And most importantly, they have the Good News of Jesus Christ taught to them.

Thank you for standing with these children and helping shine the love of Christ into some of the darkest places.

Like Jesus said… “When you cared for one of the least of these, My little ones, My true brothers and sisters, you demonstrated love for Me.” — Matthew 25:40b (The Passion Translation)
