The DiBernardo family has endured more than their share of hardship—and now they are facing a tragedy no family should have to bear. On Monday, they lost Christian, a beloved 45-year-old son, brother, and father, to a sudden and unexpected heart condition.
Nearly a decade ago, Christian survived a life-altering accident that left him severely disabled. Not long after, the mother of his two youngest sons passed away unexpectedly, and the mother of his oldest son later suffered a debilitating stroke. Through all of this, Christian’s father, Joseph—now in his late 70s—and his surviving family, including his mother Noella, sister Cara, and brother Mark, stepped in to care for Christian and his three boys: Johnathan (20), James (10), and Matthew (7). They sacrificed deeply to keep the family together and provide as much stability and love as possible under incredibly difficult circumstances.
Christian was known for his deep love of anything automotive—he could talk about cars endlessly. He loved a good plate of chicken cutlets and always looked forward to peaceful family trips to Lake George. Despite the trials he faced, he carried himself with quiet strength and poured his heart into loving his sons.
Now, with Christian gone, the DiBernardo family is grieving while also facing the emotional and financial weight of this loss. This fundraiser is intended to help cover funeral expenses, alleviate outstanding debts, and provide ongoing support for his children as they navigate life without their dad.

Christian and the entire Dibernardo family has been a part of the Wasilewski family for decades. Our Argyle family, the DeMuria’s, the Brendells, the Pilocane’s the Brewsters, all the Shirley Beach families- looking back we have been through some things together, both heart wrenching and blessed. We all will always have a connection with each other, an unbroken bond for life, thick and thin.
So sorry for your loss, we are praying for God's blessing over the family and His divine protection and direction. Psalm 27:5 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.
