Helping Steven DiNello
God bless all who read this with an abundance of graces and mercies. My dear friend Steven. DiNello, a former seminarian, now a Catholic evangelist, is in dire need of help. Due to his many health issues, and not getting help from Disability, I can't stand by and not try to help him. He wants desperately to get back to work, but most jobs cannot accommodate his latest limitations. He is now in dire straits and is at close risk to losing the roof over his head. He and others pray for his healing, but it does not seem to be God's will at this time (please God heal him). Despite his many difficulties, and seeing everyone else around him prospering, he has kept the Faith. In this season of Lent, I have decided to create a fundraiser to raise alms for him.
Among his many health issues: Spinal stenosis, has had three major spinal surgeries (2 rods, 2 clips, 16 screws), crushed spinal cord between C1 & C2 discs in neck above surgery site, various impingements C3 to T4, major calcified mass on spinal cord between the shoulder blades, central sleep apnea, AIDP (Acute Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy), high cholesterol, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Diabetic neuropathy, Chiari I Malformation, Glaucoma, Diverticulosis, risk of Crohn’s disease, many removals of polyps, prostatitis, Heart Arrhythmia … the list seriously goes on for this guy, but these will give you an idea of all he is going through.
Living in the 21st century, in a first-world country, and having to live without basic needs being met, is a scandal. In the past I have raised funds for other friends in similar situations. More and more people I know are ending up homeless because even WITH working, they cannot afford both shelter AND food / bills.
I am not asking for grand donations of thousands of dollars for my friend, even though he desperately needs it, because I know that most people are just getting by like I am. But I am asking for people to please give what they can afford in the spirit of Lent. I am also asking for people to please PRAY for Steve and to kindly offer some of your Holy Communions for him.
