Hello, my name is Rebecca Barnes, and I am the proud grandmother of Dante Jr., my sweet, strong, bold, and courageous grandson. Dante was born with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), a heart condition caused by an abnormal connection between the lower chambers of the heart. He has a hole in the lower left chamber, and while we had prayed and hoped that it would close on its own over time, it has now become necessary for him to undergo congenital heart surgery.

Recently, we learned that the left side of Dante’s heart has started to enlarge compared to the right side due to a leak caused by the hole. After much prayer and consultation with his doctors, it’s clear that surgery is the best path to ensure Dante grows up strong and healthy.

I am creating this donation link to support my daughter, a devoted single mother of two young children, during this difficult time. She will be unable to work while caring for Dante through his surgery and 6-8 week recovery period. As you can imagine, the financial burden of medical expenses and everyday living costs will be overwhelming.
